Bentley recently announced a new addition to its lineup – a new fragrance collection highlighted by a limited to 999 bottles ‘Lalique for Bentley Crystal Edition’. The regular range will be aptly called ‘Bentley for Men’.
The collaboration between Bentley and Art & Fragrance, owner of Lalique has resulted in a bespoke impressive crystal bottle with the legendary ‘Flying B’ Bentley mascot. Finely wrought in gleaming crystal, the dynamic styling of its wings epitomises timeless beauty. The eau de parfum itself, composed by Mylène Alran, from the French perfume house Robertet, is a fitting elixir of fine woody notes and exquisite leather to complement the very scent of a Bentley. An addition of precious orris butter accord enriches the scent to create a sensual and charismatic character.
‘Lalique for Bentley Crystal Edition’ will retail for €3,500 (approximately Php192,500) through carefully selected retailers.
The ‘Bentley for Men’ fragrances were formulated by top French perfumer Nathalie Lorson, from the perfume house Firmenich. She has skilfully transformed the quintessence of the luxury automotive brand Bentley into a superb and unmistakeable fragrance experience featuring fine wood and leather notes. An ‘Intense’ version will take these notes to another level by infusing the rich scent with aromatic African geranium.
The bottle design echoes the luxury of the cars with an elegant symmetrical shape, striking appeal and a knurled ring around the top. Despite being regular lines, they will only be available at more exclusive retailers as well. A 60ml bottle of ‘Bentley for Men’ eau de toilette will cost €59 (approximately Php3,245).
While we don’t know why someone would like to smell like wood and leather, we do like the idea of having a limited-edition crystal ‘Flying B’.
