2026 Makabayan Endurance Race Challenge Series Round 1 postponed
Makabayan Endurance Race Challenge Series organizers postpone 2026 4 Hour Kagitingan Cup to a later date
Another major motorsport event in the country has been postponed due to the ongoing fuel crisis.
After the announcement of AAP and Toyota Gazoo Racing, the organizers of the Makabayan Endurance Race Challenge Series have also released a statement, postponing the upcoming 4 Hour Kagitingan Cup which was supposed to take place on April 18-19, 2026, at Batangas Racing Circuit.
Here’s the complete statement they posted on social media:

Held in 4, 12, and 8-hour formats over three rounds, the Makabayan Endurance Race Challenge Series is the most grueling circuit racing championship in the country. Despite the backing of Petron, the first round of the championship has been postponed as organizers acknowledge their responsibility to support national energy conservation and help keep fuel supplies stable during this crisis.
Among the most notable teams participating in the series is Team MSCC Mazda Miata – the semi-works team of Mazda Philippines, which has swept last year’s endurance rounds with their heavily modified MX-5.
