We all know Chevrolet Philippines has moved on from the frame-based Trailblazer when the bow-tie brand decided to shutter its factory in Thailand. They then replaced it with a similarly-named crossover that has a car-based platform. Not only does it get a more stylish appearance, but it also has a 1.3L turbo-gasoline engine and plenty of modern features. With that, the Korean-made Trailblazer is quite the vehicle, although some still miss the frame-based Trailblazer that's powered by a turbo-diesel engine.

Well, much like the Colorado, the 7-seater midsize SUV is still going strong, particularly in South America. After receiving a facelift around two years ago, Chevrolet decided to give it a special variant called the Midnight Edition. Revealed alongside the Colorado Trail Boss, the 2026 Chevrolet Trailblazer Midnight Edition gets some exterior and interior changes, as well as a suspension upgrade.

Beginning with the changes on the outside, the Trailblazer Midnight Edition gets darkened finishes on the front bumper, grille, alloy wheels, and side mirror caps. It also comes with new LED headlights and additional lighting elements on the bumper, along with tow hooks finished in red. Other exterior updates include a hood decal, a black exhaust tip, and all-terrain Scorpion tires.

Perhaps serving as the most important upgrade is the suspension. The Trailblazer Midnight Edition gets a lift kit from Ironman 4x4, complete with upgraded shock absorbers. Unlike the regular Trailblazer, the front suspension of the Midnight Edition is higher by 0.7 inches, while the rear has been increased by 1 inch. This translates to better ground clearance and improved departure angles.

Inside, the changes are more subtle, as it now comes with new upholstery and additional soft-touch surfaces, which serve to contrast against the SUV's rugged exterior. Since it's based on the High Country trim, the Trailblazer Midnight Edition has plenty of amenities, including an 11-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, and a wireless charging pad.

Under the hood, the Trailblazer Midnight Edition is powered by the 2.8L VM Motori Duramax turbo-diesel engine. It generates 210 PS with 510 Nm of torque and is coupled to an 8-speed automatic transmission with a part-time 4WD system.
