GWM opens reservations, reveals specifications of upcoming Haval H7 HEV and PHEV
GWM Philippines had one heck of a display at the 2026 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) when they revealed several electrified vehicles. From the flagship Tank 700 to the hip Ora 5, and the popular Haval H7, GWM's preview of its newest electrified vehicles caught everyone's attention.
Now, GWM Philippines is making the preparations to launch the Haval H7. But instead of offering it as just a plug-in hybrid (PHEV), it will also be available as a hybrid electric vehicle (HEV). That's right, GWM Philippines is now accepting reservations for the Haval H7 and has also released the initial specifications of the upcoming electrified crossover SUV.

The range will start with the Haval H7 2WD HEV, which gets a 1.5L turbocharged powertrain that's assisted by an electric motor and a small 1.53 kWh battery pack. The self-charging hybrid makes a combined 244 PS with 540 Nm of torque and is paired with a dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT) that drives the front wheels.
Up next are the PHEV models, which begin with the Haval H7 Hi4 PHEV 2WD. It has a 1.5L turbocharged inline-four that gets a helping hand from an electric motor and a 19.09 kWh battery pack. The result is a combined output of 322 PS with 540 Nm and an EV range of up to 105 km. Like the HEV version, the PHEV 2WD model also has a DHT that drives the front wheels.

Last but not least is the range-topping Haval H7 PHEV 4WD. It gets the same 1.5L turbocharged engine as the PHEV 2WD model but benefits from an additional electric motor that drives the rear wheels. This translates to a total system output of 364 PS and a staggering 760 Nm of torque. Since it has an electric motor in the back, its EV range is slightly lower at 91 km compared to the 2WD version, which can do up to 105 km. However, the PHEV 4WD variant gets a 3-speed DHT, as well as a Performance mode to make the most out of the electrified powertrain.
Size-wise, all models of the Haval H7 measure 4800mm long, 1950mm wide, and 1843mm tall on a 2738mm wheelbase. All variants also come with a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment display with wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, a 540-degree panoramic camera system, a 50W wireless charging pad, and roof rails.

Other key features available on higher-grade models include 19-inch alloy wheels (18-inch alloys on lesser models), a panoramic sunroof, hill-hold control, hill-descent control, hill-start assist, a heads-up display, and a host of advanced driver assist systems (ADAS).
Pricing for the GWM Haval H7 has yet to be revealed. However, there are reports that the starting price could begin at less than PHP 1.5 million, while the top-of-the-line PHEV 4WD model could sell for less than PHP 2 million. With that, the GWM Haval H7 could be quite the bargain once it's officially launched.

As mentioned earlier, reservations are now open for those who are interested in getting one as soon as possible.
