Lexus PH recalls select GS F, RC F units due to fuel pump issue
Lexus Philippines has a recall for select units of GS F and RC F with fuel pump issue
Toyota Motor Philippines has issued a recall that affects owners of select GS F and RC F units in the country.
For those subject vehicles equipped with the 5.0-liter 2UR-GSE V8 engine, the low-pressure fuel pump may become inoperative due to the swelling of the impeller material. This may cause the illumination of warning indicators, difficulty in starting the engine, or stalling, which may increase the risk of untoward incidents.
The issue involves a total of 63 units – 4 of those are GS Fs made from November 4, 2015, to January 22, 2016, and 59 RC F units made from September 24, 2014, to October 13, 2020.
Involved customers will be notified by Toyota Motor Philippines through an official notification letter, and invited to Lexus Manila Inc. or any of Lexus Accredited Dealers nationwide for the replacement of the low-pressure fuel pump with a new one. The remedy will be performed at no charge to vehicle owners.
Customers may also check if the Lexus vehicle is included in any other active recall campaigns at https://www.lexus.com.ph/en/servicing-and-support/service-campaign.html
