After our spies managed to spot what looked to be Lexus' upcoming three-row EV, the automaker has officially revealed its newest vehicle.

This is the Lexus TZ, and it's essentially the sibling to the 2027 Toyota Highlander and the Subaru Getaway EVs. It features what Lexus calls the “Discover Limitless” vision, which is designed around the concept of a Driving Lounge, which is an elevated mobility space that focuses on a relaxing cabin environment with the driving dynamics of Lexus.

Beginning with its design, there are clear signs that it gets the same profile as the Toyota Highlander and Subaru Getaway EVs. But that didn't stop the automaker from giving the TZ its own unique look that's signature Lexus. The front fascia features a closed-off spindle grille design and is complemented by bold LED headlights & daytime running lights that appear to have been inspired by the Lexus GX.

Despite not having an engine under the hood, Lexus still gave the TZ a prominent hood design, as well as muscular fenders that highlight its crossover SUV looks. Further complementing its macho yet aerodynamic looks are the muscular rear wheel arches, massive 20-inch alloy wheels (22-inch alloys are available as an option), black body cladding, a floating roof design, and thick D-pillars.

Open the doors, and the Lexus TZ welcomes occupants into a three-row interior that emphasizes an open cabin design. A panoramic glass roof lets more light into the cabin and delivers a sense of openness in a three-row vehicle. With seating for 6 people, the Lexus TZ prioritizes passenger comfort where all occupants can relax regardless of seating position. This is complemented by the brand's signature quietness and smooth ride quality to deliver utmost comfort to the driver and passengers.

The Lexus TZ also has “Rear Comfort Mode”, which prioritizes rear-seat comfort by using a combination of hardware and software electrification technologies, such as power-adjustable ottomans. Lexus also emphasized the use of sustainable materials for the TZ, which include recycled aluminum and what Lexus calls Forged Bamboo, which is made from Shikoku bamboo and adorns many of the cabin's surfaces.

Powering the Lexus TZ is a 95.82 kWh battery pack, which gives it a range of up to 530 km, based on the WLTP cycle. The battery then feeds power to a pair of electric motors, which deliver a total system output of 300 kW or 408 PS. This translates to a 0 – 100 km/h sprint time of 5.4 seconds, which is impressive despite the TZ's curb weight of 2,630 kg.

In terms of recharging, the Lexus TZ supports both AC and DC fast charging. The former is rated to support up to 22 kW of AC charging, while the latter can support up to 150 kW, which can replenish the battery from 10% to 80% in only 35 minutes.

Size-wise, the Lexus TZ measures 5100mm long, 1990mm wide, and 1705mm tall on a 3050mm wheelbase. It also has a minimum turning radius of 5.4 meters, a cargo capacity of up to 2,017 liters, and a towing capacity of 1,500 kg.

Since Lexus Philippines already offers the Lexus UX 300e and the RZ EV models, can we expect the automaker to offer the TZ in the future? That we'll have to find out in the future.
