MG Motor PH begins unit rollout of 2026 G50 PHEV
After its preview at MIAS 2026, MG Motor PH has started releasing units of G50 PHEV to new owners
SAIC Motor Philippines Incorporated has officially started the retail sales of the G50 PHEV in the market. This marks a significant milestone in the brand’s electrification journey, highlighted by the ceremonial turnover of the first batch of units to its initial customers.
The G50 PHEV has proven to be a blockbuster product, securing over 800 reservations since its unveiling at the Manila International Auto Show in April 2026.

The turnover ceremony was held at MG Alabang, where Mr. Mauro Cortez, a business owner who plans to utilize the MG G50 PHEV for his furniture business operations, and Mr. Reginald Gregorio, who chose the vehicle to better accommodate his family for everyday trips, formally received the keys to their new MG G50 PHEV—becoming among the first owners of MG’s newest plug-in hybrid MPV in the country.

The arrival and release of the MG G50 PHEV units come shortly after its successful preview, reflecting strong market interest and positive reception from Filipino car buyers. Designed to meet the evolving needs of modern families, the G50 PHEV offers a compelling balance of performance, efficiency, and practicality—making it an ideal choice for those looking to transition into electrified mobility.
“This turnover represents an exciting milestone for MG Motor Philippines as we begin delivering the G50 PHEV to our customers,” said Mr. Wei Wei Zhang, President of MG Motor Philippines. “We are encouraged by the positive response to this model, and we remain committed to providing Filipino motorists with innovative mobility solutions that combine performance, efficiency, and everyday usability.”

Powered by a plug-in hybrid system, the MG G50 PHEV delivers the flexibility of both electric and gasoline driving. With a factory rated total combined range of up to 1,415 kilometers, customers can enjoy efficient daily commutes while maintaining the capability for longer journeys. Its spacious cabin, premium features, and advanced technology further reinforce its position as a next-generation family vehicle.
With units now arriving in the country, MG Motor Philippines has officially began releasing the MG G50 PHEV to customers nationwide, marking an important step in expanding its electrified vehicle portfolio. The strong initial demand underscores the growing interest in new energy vehicles, particularly those that offer both practicality and versatility for everyday use.
As MG continues to introduce more advanced powertrain options in the local market, the G50 PHEV stands as a key addition to its expanding lineup—offering customers a smart and flexible entry point into electrified driving, complemented by ease of ownership through MG’s growing dealership network and aftersales support.
