Sourcing parts for classic vehicles has always been a challenge, especially for older Toyotas, where original components are scarce, and reproduction parts have long been nearly impossible to find.

That began to change a few years ago when Toyota Gazoo Racing recognized the growing demand and launched an initiative to reproduce previously unavailable genuine parts for heritage models. Known as the GR Heritage Parts Project, this program aims to help classic Toyota enthusiasts keep their vehicles running and on the road.

While icons like the Toyota Corolla “Hachiroku” and the legendary Toyota 2000GT often take center stage in discussions about classic Toyotas, the rugged and dependable Land Cruiser holds an equally important place in the brand’s history. Beginning with the FJ40 series, which is widely regarded as the foundation of Toyota’s off-road legacy, the Land Cruiser lineup evolved through the 60, 70, and 80 Series, all of which continue to enjoy strong followings both locally and globally.

Since last year, Toyota has offered a selection of reproduction parts for the Land Cruiser 40, 60, 70, and 80 Series, with the list steadily expanding in response to customer demand. The latest additions include essential components such as brake lines, accelerator cables, fusible links, speedometer cables, handbrake cables, and more.

Although certain Land Cruiser items, like body panels and complete dashboards, are still unavailable, the GR Heritage Parts Project represents a meaningful step forward. It reflects Toyota’s commitment to supporting its enthusiast community and preserving the legacy of its most beloved vehicles.

For a full list of available parts and recent updates, interested owners can visit the GR Heritage Parts section on the Toyota Gazoo Racing website.
