After holding a preview of the BYD Sealion 7 at the 2026 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) last April, BYD Cars Philippines distributor ACMobility will officially launch its new AWD crossover EV this month.

Set to make its Philippine launch is the 2026 BYD Sealion 7, and it will be revealed to the public on May 28 at the Glorietta 4 Activity Center in Makati City. Billed as an all-electric performance SUV, the Sealion 7 slots above the Sealion 6 and will serve as the brand's newest crossover offering that combines zero emissions with sleek styling.

Official specifications have yet to be revealed by the automaker. But based on what the DOE has already revealed before, the BYD Sealion 7 could get an 82.56 kWh lithium-iron phosphate battery that sends power to a pair of electric motors. The result is a combined 530 PS with 690 Nm of torque. On a full charge, the automaker claims the Sealion 7 can cover up to 540 km, based on the NEDC cycle.

In terms of charging, the initial specifications revealed by the DOE say the Sealion 7 supports both AC and DC fast charging. The former reportedly supports up to 11 kW, which can recharge the EV from 0 to 100% in 8 hours. The latter, meanwhile, is rated up to 150 kW, which can replenish the Sealion 7's battery from 10% to 80% in as little as 35 minutes.

Size-wise, the Sealion 7 measures 4830mm long, 1925mm wide, and 1620mm on a 2930mm wheelbase. It also has massive 20-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 245/50 series tires, drilled & ventilated front disc brakes, and rear ventilated disc brakes.

Interested customers who wish to try out the Sealion 7 can test drive the upcoming EV from May 28 – 31, 2026, alongside BYD's full electrified lineup, as part of the BYD Tech Tour. It will be open 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM on May 28 – 29, and up until 10:00 PM from May 30 – 31, 2026.
